Despite empty shelves the food supply chain in the US is strong. If you have been to a grocery store recently and seen the bare shelves it can be a scary site. Everyone is going to the store and panic buying much more than what they need. It is hard for the grocery stores to keep up. Now that many people have hoards of food and suppplies at home hopefully the grocery stores will be able to catch up and re-stock their merchandise to normal levels.
